Canfield Open showcases top talent

Greg Morgione won the Canfield Tennis Open's 10/under division without dropping a game. Gina Landers won twice to reach the finals.

David Hofsess won 8-4 in the final of the 16/under division over Rajan Taneja in the Canfield Open last week.

Catherine Brown (right) won three close matches in the final three rounds of the women's singles during the recent Canfield Open.

Jeff Sinclair and J.W. Linam battled in the final of the men's singles portion of the Canfield Open. Sinclair, a former player at Canfield High School and YSU, won 8-2 over the present high school standout at Salem.

Mark Catipay and Thom Fecik dropped the men's doubles final 8-6, to the duo of Rajiv Taneja and 80-year-old Art See in the Canfield Open.
