The Boardman 11-year-old All-Star team advanced to the second round of the Little League State Tournament in Hamilton on July 30. Boardman defeated Dover Little League 10-6. Dominic Pecchia hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Brian Kordupel added a solo home run in the fourth inning. The team is comprised of Sean Buck, Noah Falleti, Michael Melewski, Dominic Stilliana, Dominic Pecchia, Bobby Toth, Michael Cunningham, Bryan Kordupel, Evan Knaus, Luciano Cardillo, Dante Beato and Jarod Wilson.
They then advanced to the third round after defeating Guernsey Little League 8-6 on July 31.
