July 24

12:46 a.m. - Following investigation of suspected drug activity in a carport at 1490 Maplecrest Drive, officers arrested Justin M. Popp, 18, 3457 42nd St., Canfield, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An Austintown juvenile was also arrested for violating curfew.

3:41 a.m. - Assault was reported following an incident at Beach Shack, 5516 W. Webb Road.

1:04 p.m. - Following a traffic stop at Mahoning Avenue and Wilcox Road, officers arrested Tyrone Davis, 40, 604 E. Dewey St., Youngstown, on a probation violation warrant from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. He was also cited for driving under suspension and fictitious registration.

2:12 p.m. - Criminal damaging auto was reported from a Washington Square residence.

2:39 p.m. - Menacing was reported following an incident in the parking lot of Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

3:00 p.m. - Jose Ramierez, 33, 4493 Mahoning Ave. #20, was arrested for drunken/disorderly conduct following an incident in the parking lot of IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.

3:18 p.m. - A drug offense was reported following investigation of suspicious activity in the parking lot of 990 Compass West.

3:49 p.m. - Theft was reported from an Edinburgh Drive residence.

3:55 p.m. - Theft was reported from a Forest Hill Drive residence.

5:06 p.m. - Aggravated menacing was reported following an altercation on Elmtrace Drive.

6:42 p.m. - Attempted suicide was reported following an incident at a South Edgehill Avenue residence. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

9:17 p.m. - Following investigation of a protection order violation at a South Raccoon Road apartment, officers arrested Dennis W. Champion, 55, 10254 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson, for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

9:27 p.m. - Assault was reported following investigation of an altercation at a Laurie Drive apartment.

10:34 p.m. - Following investigation of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Ice House Inn, 5516 W. Webb Road, officers arrested Brian W. Rice, 37, 2829 Red Fox Run Drive SW, Warren, for drug abuse (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Jason S. Pringle, 22, 1721 Ohltown-McDonald Road, Niles, was cited for an open container.



July 25

2:13 a.m. - Following investigation of suspicious activity in the parking lot of Econo Lodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, officers arrested Freda S. Bolf, 46, 2492 Frostwood Drive, for possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass.

8:25 a.m. - Criminal damaging was reported from a Fairview Road residence.

9:00 a.m. - Theft was reported after a backhoe was stolen from a vacant lot on Ohltown Road.

9:51 a.m. - Two counts of theft from auto were reported from the lot at Blue Ribbon Motors, 4004 Mahoning Ave.

12:57 p.m. - Breaking and entering was reported from the lot at Patrick’s Service, 58 N. Meridian Road.

1:07 p.m. - Lori A. Yerrace, 49, no address, was arrested for trespassing following an incident at Westgate Motel, 4493 Mahoning Ave.

3:59 p.m. - Theft of services was reported following investigation of cable TV theft on South Main Street.

6:31 p.m. - Following a traffic stop in the parking lot of Hillbrook Apartments, 478 S. raccoon Road, officers arrested on a failure to appear warrant from MCC #4 and cited him for driving under suspension.



July 26

2:17 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from the truck lot at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

4:09 a.m. - Following investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked on Pinetrace Drive, officers arrested a Poland juvenile for curfew violation.

6:44 a.m. - Theft from auto was reported from a Quill Court residence.

10:46 a.m. - Menacing was reported from a South Raccoon Road residence.

11:30 a.m. - Multiple counts of theft from auto were reported from Austintown Pawn, 3700 Mahoning Ave.

4:27 p.m. - Telecommunications harassment was reported from a Compass West apartment.

5:19 p.m. - Theft from auto was reported from an Oakcrest Avenue residence.

5:38 p.m. - Trespassing was reported following an incident at a Westminster Avenue apartment.

7:04 p.m. - After responding to a silent alarm at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road, and a brief manhunt, officers arrested Anthony R. Strickland, 43, no address, at the Budget Inn, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, for attempted robbery.

7:32 p.m. - Felonious assault was reported following an incident on Norquest near Fitch Boulevard.

11:15 p.m. - Domestic violence was reported following an incident at a New Road residence.



July 27

1:00 a.m. - Scott A. Rhodes, 39, 3651 S. Wendover Ave., was cited at his residence for a loud barking dog.

9:31 a.m. - Telecommunications harassment was reported from a North Anderson Avenue residence.

4:40 p.m. - Theft was reported after a customer’s cellphone was stolen at O’Donold’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

6:03 p.m. - Theft was reported from Austintown Soccer, 805 Ohltown Road.



July 28

3:00 a.m. - Joshua R. Kleinhans, 32, 223 E. Water St. #1, Oak Harbor, was arrested for criminal trespassing following an incident at T/A Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

12:20 p.m. - Attempted breaking and entering was reported from a Bexley Drive residence.

1:31 p.m. - Howard T. McCreary, 43, 254 S. Main St., was arrested at his residence on a warrant of unlawful use of a Telecommunications device.

2:09 p.m. - The burglary of a Redgate Lane residence was reported at the station.

5:03 p.m. - Attempted suicide was reported from an Ohltown Road residence. The victim was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital.

5:15 p.m. - Theft was reported at the station.

9:02 p.m. - Aggravated burglary was reported following a break-in at 4552 Nantucket Drive.
