Tropical fundraiser lifts spirits, raises funds

May 26, 2011

It’s spring in Poland, Ohio, and the residents of the quaint area know what that means; trees in bloom, flowers popping up, and flamingos making their way via silent, nighttime landings. That’s right, Poland’s North Elementary School has returned with its ever popular flamingo fundraiser for Poland Relay for Life, with the Hockinsmith family a most recent recipient of the prompt for fine feathered funds.

Pictured are Jacob and Phillip Hockensith, the children of Ryan and Patty Hockensmith, who will offer up both their donation to the cause, and their suggestion for the next family to be contacted by flamingo finance. There’s certainly no fowl play here; just good clean fundraising.
