Hiram College softball player and senior catcher Jena Ervin of Canfield has been selected first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference for her individual efforts this season. Ervin was one of six Terrier players to be named to this year's All-Conference Teams.
Ervin played a key role in helping the Terriers post a 25-12 overall record so far this season and a second NCAC Tournament Title.
Ervin earns her second All-Conference award and her first first-team selection after earning honorable mention honors last year. This season, she batted .310 in conference play to go along with a homerun and seven RBI. Overall, Ervin has started all 37 games and is fifth on the team in batting average at .320 (33-of-103). She has hit one homerun, scored 16 runs and tallied 16 RBI. Defensively, Ervin has a .996 fielding percentage with 214 putouts, 18 assists and just one error as the team’s starting catcher.
Hiram will make its second appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament which began May 12.
