The following Mahoning Valley team members contributed to the success in the recent victories: Joe DeLucia, Ethan Kalina, Chris Lewis, Joey Machuga, Zach Tinkey and Anthony Vross, all of Canfield.
Catcher DeLucia played solid defense in the championship game with no passed balls and batted 0.700 (7 for 10) in the tournament. Kalina played solid defense in the outfield during the tournament and scored several times in pool play games and in the championship game. Lefty hitter Lewis blasted two home runs in the 4th inning of a 19-4 pool play victory over the Ellet Eliminators (Ohio). Lewis hit a two-run homer at the beginning of the 4th inning and then for an encore hit, a Grand Slam home run later that same inning. Lewis also blasted a solo home run in the second inning of the semi-final game to start the Glaciers scoring attack against a tough SportsZone PA Sliders team. Third baseman Machuga blasted a two-run homer in the championship game against the North Royalton Bears which sparked a six-run Glaciers rally in the second inning en route to the 12-0 Glaciers championship win. Tinkey, a southpaw pitcher/outfielder/first baseman, hit three-for-three with a double and two RBIs in a 19-4 pool play victory against the Ellet Eliminators. Gloveman Vross had 6 defensive assists and 1 putout at second base in the 6-2 victory during the semi-final game against the SportZone Sliders (Pa). Vross was two-for-three at the plate with three RBIs in a 20-1 pool play victory over the Pittsburgh Prowlers.

Ohio Glaciers 12-and-under traveling team has taken their third tournament in a row defeating North Royalton 12-0. The team consists of, in front: Joe DeLucia, Lucas Nasonti, Zach Tinkey, Ethan Kalina, Anthony Vross, and Joey Machuga. In center row are: Mike McDonough, Michael Turner, Chris Lewis, Jake McCurry, and Christian Fedko. In back row are: manager Anthony Vross, coaches Darren Machuga, Bob Tinkey, Eric Kalina, and Brian Turner.
