“We’re happy Julie is moving on to continue her sports career,” Trell said. “Clarion recruited her as a position player and pitcher."
Sokol began her softball career in the second grade when she joined a team at the Boardman Community Baseball. She said from BCB, she just moved up the ladder, along with her friends.
“All my friends were playing in BCB and all the way to the varsity team,” she said. “I am going to miss everyone and how close we had become.”
At Clarion, Sokol plans to major in speech pathology with the intent of getting into the special education field.
