The Boardman Middle Schools will present a fifth, sixth and seventh grade band spring concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 in the Boardman High School Performing Arts Center.
This concert will feature the fifth, sixth and seventh grade bands combined from both Center and Glenwood Middle Schools.
The fifth-grade band portion will include many fun arrangements, including a performance of “Hang on Sloopy” -- the state of Ohio’s official rock song.
The sixth-grade band portion will include popular favorites including “Let It Rock” by Kevin Rudolf featuring Lil Wayne and “Y.M.C.A.” as recorded by the Village People.
The concert will close with the seventh-grade band performance of the recent hit “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga, and television favorites “Hawaii Five-O” and “Don’t Stop Believing” from the hit show "Glee." We end our concert featuring the piccolo and brass in the traditional finale: John Phillip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
