July wedding to unite Malys and Gotro

Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Terry Malys of Boardman, parents of the bride, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katy Ann Malys, to Duane Douglas Gotro, both of Columbus. The prospective groom is the son of Deborah Gotro-Esicar of Hannibal, Mo., and the late Craig Gotro.

Miss Malys earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Youngstown State University. She then attended the Aveda Institute in Columbus. She is the owner of Salon Katy May at Salon Lofts in Grandview.

Mr. Gotro earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at The Ohio State University. He is employed as a market development manager at Entrotech in Columbus. The couple have planned their wedding for 2:30 p.m. July 30 at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Columbus. Invitations will be

issued for a reception at the Columbus Anthenaeum.
