Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lockwood United Methodist Church for Elizabeth “Betty” M. Justice, who passed away April 30 at The Woodlands at Austinwoods in Austintown.

Betty was born Sept. 14, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late James A. and Anna (Noufer) Wood.

Betty was an insurance agent for over 30 years with O’Neil Insurance Agency and the Mayflower Insurance Agency before retiring in 1997.

She was a member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church (formerly Grace Methodist) where she was a Sunday School teacher, choir director, church secretary and lay speaker. She belonged to the WAGOM Club and volunteered for seven years at Austinwoods in the snack bar and gift shop.

Her husband, Sherrell N. Justice, whom she married Nov. 23, 1946, passed away Oct. 17, 1987.

Betty will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Leslie (Gale) Reedy, Susan Justice and Cheri (Harold) Blackann, all of Austintown; five grandchildren: Ruth (Tom) Jones, Rachael (Caleb) Haynie, Rebekah Prior, Jim (Dawn) Thomas and Joshua Thomas; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Edward James Wood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood United Methodist Church or the activities department at Austinwoods.
