Head JV Coach Mark Wesolowsky, a second year coach in Poland, hits grounders to his players as the team concentrates on the fundamentals of the game during an indoor practice session Monday. Wesolowsky said he is “Keeping the kids focused on basics of the game.” He said it is one of the reasons why the team is 1-0. “We have a long way to go but this is a positive start for our kids,” he said.

Poland’s JV baseball program is facing the same thing that other teams are facing, “playing games. Most teams are 6-7 games behind their normal schedule. However last Tuesday (March 28) the JV Bulldogs played their first game and won by a score of 15-0. Hoping to keep that spark alive, Ryan Suatosky practiced his pitching skills inside the facilities at Poland on Monday in hopes the team would soon get outside to play.
