According to head coach Larry Davis, the team has two returning seniors and a good bunch of freshmen and juniors. Practice started March 6 as returners helped the new team members get into a rhythm to take it all this year.
“Last year we were co-champs in the AAC Red Tier,” Davis said. “We had to share it with Poland, who we were tied with.”
While the team is ready to take it all this year, it has been a bit challenging with the colder-than-normal spring.
“This has been a miserable spring,” Davis said. “That is not good.”
The one good thing is the talent that Davis will have on the courts this week. The number one to watch is junior Tony El Hayek along with fellow juniors Mark Dalvin, Tom Yankush and senior Mark Stanislaw just to name a few.
