The Poland girls track team will compete in a few weeks as sophomores Michelle Klim, McKinsie Klim and Libby Rogenski keep in shape by running through the Poland woods on Monday. The girls have worked out all winter long have set their goals on the state competition in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter events. The girls have all ready participated in Mill Creek’s annual District Classic last week.
Poland freshman Tyler Ford is looking forward competing in a few weeks as the track season officially begins. Running alongside Ford is homeschooled sophomore Sam Anderson who is working out as well.
Nicky Delsignore a seventh-grader at Poland Middle School is learning how to throw the shot put from coach Luke Skinner. Poland Middle School opens with an away meet on March 30.

Coach Luke Skinner gives tips to the seventh-graders on how to throw the shot put. Most of all Skinner stresses safety. Skinner said, “You want these young athletes to have fun while participating in track, but do it with safety.” Track season opens March 30.
