McGowan and McCarthy plan for May wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. McGowan of Canfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Helena McGowan, to Richard Lawrence McCarthy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. McCarthy of Youngstown.

Miss McGowan graduated with honors from Duquesne University with a political science degree and is employed as a legislative analyst with the Motorcycle Industry Council in Washington, D.C.

Mr. McCarthy graduated from Georgetown University with a finance and accounting degree, and is a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Washington Federal Practice, in Washington, D.C.

A May wedding is planned.
