PMS wrestlers qualify for state

Poland Middle School is sending four wrestlers to the state tournament and two alternates to be held for the first time ever in Youngstown at the Covelli Center, March 12 and 13. Poland wrestlers attended the District tournament in Steubenville with the top six in each weight class advancing to the state tournement and seventh place finishers placed on the alternate list. Pictured are Poland Middle school’s coach Matt Galchick; Anthony Mancini, fourth in the 146-pound class; Johnny Berndt, first in the 132 pound class; Anthony Audi, third in the 126 pound class; Bruno Spotlson, fifth in the 102 pound class; coach Adam Keck, and coach Bob Nespeca. Selected as alternates were Tony Murcko in the 90 pound class and Brett Nemeth in the 78 pound class.
