A moment of celebration was felt after the Fitch boys bowling team ended up as champions last week in the Holiday High School Bowling Tournament at Camelot Lanes. The top five teams qualified for the championship round, which consisted of best out of three baker matches, in a stepladder format. In the boys division, the number five seed Boardman defeated North Olmsted, 2-1. Boardman then defeated the third seed Crestwood, 2-0. In the semifinal match, Boardman defeated Canfield, 2-0. In the finals, the number one seed Austintown Fitch defeated Boardman in the finals 2-1 to win the tournament championship. On an individual basis, Fitch bowler Brian Skelton placed fourth with a 654 series. Pictured holding their first place trophy are assistant coach Marty Shariski and Zach Thompson, and standing: Ryan Manthe, D.J.
