The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Paul and Susan Bissell of Columbiana. She wore a custom-designed gown with a sweetheart neckline, a shirred, fitted bodice that closed at the back with pearl buttons, and tied at the waist with a satin sash. Asymmetrical rows of organza ruffles flowed softly to just above her ankles. A single wildflower was tucked behind one ear as the barefoot bride carried a colorful array of wildflowers bound with a sheer white ribbon.
Her bridesmaids were Katie Maruskin of Nashville, Christina Stackhouse of Boulder, Colo., and Lee-Anna Upperman of New Castle, Pa. They wore knee-length fuchsia halter dresses and carried matching wildflower bouquets.
The groom is the son of Mark and Candace Van Ark of Boulder, Colo. His groomsmen were Schuyler Van Ark, Brian Mercer, and Stephen Milburn, all of the Boulder, Colo., area.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the lawn for appetizers and a champagne toast before entering the Twin Owls Steakhouse for a dinner celebration.
The newlyweds traveled to the Pacific Northwest for their honeymoon and have made their home in Broomfield, Colo.
