Dec. 7

An investigation is ongoing into the theft of a purse from a shopping cart on Dec. 6 at an East Main Street business.



Dec. 8

Carolyn Springer, 37, was arrested at a West South Range Road location in Smith Township on a Mayor’s Court warrant for contempt.

Robert McLaughlin, 62, Painesville, was arrested at a North Palmyra Road location for pandering obscenity, possession of criminal tools, stalking, and telecommunication harassment stemming from a Sept. 14 incident.



Dec. 9

A report was taken regarding a case of possible public indecency at an East Main Street location.

Following an incident on Akron-Canfield Road, Gregory Hilliard, 20, West Mifflin, Pa., was arrested for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and reckless operation.



Dec. 10

Following a call to Cardinal Drive, a male juvenile student was investigated for possessing drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

Following a traffic stop on North broad Street, Richard Colon, 59, Salem, was cited for speeding (50 in a 25 zone).

Jack Watson III, 20, Girard, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at an East Main Street location.



Dec. 11

Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Brock Wickersham, 25, Sebring, was cited for an expired operator’s license and for a loud exhaust.



Dec. 12

Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, David Donnalley, 25, Salem, was cited for illegal sunscreening material (window tint).



Dec. 13

An investigation is ongoing into the report of an unknown person opening a Dish Network account in a Bradford Drive resident’s name.

An investigation is ongoing into a report of fraudulent charges appearing on a credit card account at a Sawmill Drive residence.

Following a traffic stop on Lisbon Street, Briss-Ann Greenfield, 20, Salem, was arrested for driving under suspension and was cited for a marked lanes violation.

Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Thomas Howe, 40, Canfield, was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired and consumption in a motor vehicle.

Charges are pending in an investigation of two male juveniles stealing cell phones at a Wadsworth Street location.
