McMahan becomes bride of Hernandez in Jamaica

Sandals Grande Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, was the setting on Oct. 11 for the tropical destination wedding of Peter Hernandez Jr. and his bride, Pamela L. McMahan.

The Rev. Sheldon Anderson officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony at that united the daughter of Barry and Nancy McMahan of Youngstown and the son of Virginia Hernandez and the late Peter Hernandez of Campbell.

A reception was held in their honor upon their Oct. 30 return from Jamaica at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.

The bride wore an ivory beaded lace trumpet gown featuring an empire bodice adorned with iridescent and pearl beading, a sweetheart neckline and a beaded sweep train. Her veil was outlined in iridescent and pearl beading, and she carried a fresh bouquet of magenta orchids.

Angela Navarro of Salem and Peggy Bezzarro of Mineral Ridge, the groom’s sister, were the bride's matrons of honor. Her bridesmaids were Meshelle Navarro of Canfield, Marisa Santore of Fort Myers, Fla., the groom's cousin, and Leah Godoy of Poland, all friends of the bride. They wore peacock blue gowns and carried fresh white orchids.

Serving as best man for the groom was his cousin, John Navarro of Canfield. His groomsmen included Jeff Navarro of Salem and Nelson Navarro of Boardman, both cousins of the groom, and Brian Godoy of Poland and Frank Mangiarelli of Boardman, both friends of the groom.

The bride is a licensing agent at WRP Investments in Youngstown. The groom is self-employed with his company, P.H. Flooring.

The newlyweds have made their home in Canfield.
