The Poland varsity boys cross country team recently ended their season at the district meet at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. Although the team did not advance to regionals, they did place ninth out of 16 teams. The team also finished third in their tier of the All-American conference with two runners finishing all conference. Matt Gleydura won the conference tier championship and Zac Prizant finished seventh to both garnish all conference honors.

The team only graduates two seniors, Gleydura and Zack Sesonsky. Underclassmen included juniors Brandon Mitchell and Mark Stoner, sophomores Jon Burns and Greg Haylett, and freshmen Matt Slaven, Max Prizant, and Zac Prizant.

The team was coached by Don Smaltz and Mike Kurjan.
