• Fitch Varsity Volleyball

On Oct. 5, the Fitch volleyball team took on Perry and suffered a loss after posting games of 19-25, 13-25, 25-23, and 15-25. Top Fitch players in the matches were leading server Tori Wise with eight points and three aces; leading attacker Julie Martinelli with 15 attempts and 10 kills; leading setter Britney Weidenthal with 19 assists; leading defender Amanda Callahan with 20 serve receptions and 25 digs; and leading blocker Martinelli with a total of four blocks.

On Oct. 7, the girls fell to Canton McKinley to show a record of 6-14 and 2-10 in league play. The matches were 23-25, 25-18, 19-25 and 18-25. Top performers of the game were Sarah Hoelzel with 12 points and four aces; Martinelli with 14 kills and three blocks; Weidenthal with 23 assists; and Kacie Roche with 20 digs.

• Varsity Boys Soccer

Fitch's last regular season home game of the year ended on a good note as the Fitch boys soccer team beat Chardon, 5-0. The Falcons were up 2-0 at halftime. Another great game from Fitch with sophomore Keanu Shelton posting two goals and two assists. Other Fitch stats include goals by Ross Blevins, Nate Bowlen, and Adam Justice. Credited with assists were Shelton and Adam Justice with two each and Joe Soriano with one. Saves were recorded by Chris Platton with four and Nick Sheely with two. Fitch improved to 8-5-1 following the win.
