Houser and Dovas united in May 30 nuptials

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell was the setting for the May 30 wedding of Miltiadis Dovas of Campbell and his bride, Kristin Houser of Austintown. The Rev. Steve Denas officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by an evening reception held in their honor at Mr. Anthony’s at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.

The parents of the bride are Ronald and Andrea Houser of Austintown, and the groom is the son of Dimitrios and Maroulaki Dovas of Campbell.

The new Mrs. Dovas graduated from Mercy College of Northwest Ohio, St. Elizabeth Campus, with an associate of applied science in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Mr. Dovas is employed as a coatings engineer with North Star Painting in Campbell.

For her wedding, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory silk satin featuring a gentle sweetheart neckline and rouching down the trumpet-shaped bodice, leading to an asymmetrical chapel-length. She also wore a cathedral-length mantilla veil edged in lace, and she carried a bouquet of ivory and pink peonies.

Nick and Nicole Hazimihalis of Warren, cousins of the groom, served as the koumbari. Honor attendants for the bride were maid of honor Jami Houser of Tampa, Fla., sister of the bride, and matron of honor Jennifer Houser of Austintown, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridesmaids included Despina Kerpelis of Campbell, cousin of the groom; Whitney Frost of Sarasota, Fla., Courtney Walter of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Kimberly Marzano of Boardman, friends of the bride; Katina Hazimihalis of Campbell, cousin of the groom; Aimee Gollner and Ashlee Gollner of Austintown; and Gina Dovas of Campbell, sister of the groom. They wore european glacier-colored dresses and carried bouquets of light and dark pink hydrangea, roses and peonies.

Sharing the duties of best man were Apostolos Dovas of Campbell, brother of the groom, and Ronald Houser of Austintown, brother of the bride. The groomsmen included Apostolos Hazimihalis and Elefterios Hazimihalis of Campbell, cousins of the groom, and Panormitis Elenis of Dublin, Michael Kavouras of Campbell, Michael Hostal of Campbell, Michael Xipolitas of Poland, Nicholas Samonas of Campbell and George Psaras of Columbus, all friends of the groom.

Serving as flower girl was Lexa Dintino of Canfield, cousin of the bride, and Manoli Hazimihalis of Warren, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer. The crown bearer was Nicola Trikilis of Campbell, friend of the groom.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple has settled in Boardman.
