Wiland and Wilson united in May ceremony

Ryan Joseph Wilson and his bride, the former Allison Lynn Wiland, honeymooned in the Cayman Islands following their May 22 wedding at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown.

The Rev. Stephen Sparling officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony that united the daughter of Homer and Karen Wiland of Canfield, and the son of Rodney and Michelle Wilson of Ottawa and the late Rhonda Wilson. A reception was held in the couple’s honor following the wedding at McMenamy’s in Niles.

The bride wore a satin pick-up ball gown with draped bodice and chapel-length train. Wearing lapis-colored gowns were the bride’s friend and maid of honor, Heather Cooper, and bridesmaids Jessica Griswold, Kristi Mraz, Misti Mraz, Shawna Dory, Angela Urban, Margy Ritchey, all friends of the bride, and Emily Wiland, sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was Carlie Jacobson, cousin of the groom.

Derek Wischmeyer, a friend of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen included Homer Wiland, brother of the bride, Dan Holloway, cousin of the bride, Cory Greve, cousin of the groom, Dustin Griswold, nephew of the groom, and Mike Fortman, Patrick Williams and Keith Baumgartner, friends of the groom. Serving as ushers were Kyle thomas, Cory Thomas and Ethan Thomas, cousins of the bride, and Curt Greve and Kyle Greve, cousins of the groom. The ring bearer was Andrew Thomas, cousin of the bride.

The new Mrs. Wilson earned a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Youngstown State University. She is currently serving with AmeriCorps in Cleveland.

Mr. Wilson is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Cleveland State University, where he is employed as a lab technician.

The couple has made their home in Cleveland.
