June 14


Following a persons report on West Main Street, Sheri Donchess, 38, Canfield, was charged with drug abuse, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug abuse instruments.


June 16


An investigation is ongoing into the theft of a flag from a Timber Run residence.


June 17


Following a traffic stop on North Broad Street, Janine Marinelli, 22, Canfield, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for a marked lanes violation.


Following a traffic stop in the city, Cheri Michael, 33, Youngstown, was cited for speeding (40 in a 25 zone).


A property report was taken on Lisbon Street regarding the passing of a bad check.


An investigation is ongoing into a threatening letter received by a Herbert Road resident.


Following a traffic stop on North Broad Street, Aubrey E. Duke Jr., 39, Niles, was charged with driving under suspension and a passenger, Michael S. Woodring, 25, Lordstown, was charged with drug abuse and was taken into custody on a Lordstown warrant.


Following a traffic stop on South Broad Street, John D. Carrion, 31, Salem, was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was cited for a traffic control device violation.


Following a traffic stop in the city, Ronald D. Hobart, 46, New Philadelphia was cited for a no passing zone violation.


June 18


Following an accident investigation on North broad Street, Katherine Smith, 74, Canfield, was cited for assured clear distance.


A private property report was taken following an accident on Surrey Lane.


An investigation is ongoing into damaged phone lines at a Moreland drive residence.


June 19


Following a traffic stop in the city, Mary Wilkinson, 58, Leetonia, was cited for an expired registration.


Following a traffic stop in the city, Jeremy Bailey, 20, Leetonia, was cited for improper display of registration and was charged with underage possession of alcohol.


June 22


Following a traffic stop in the city, Ted Rendinell, 48, Chagrin Falls, was cited for no operator’s license, expired license plates, and failure to yield.


Following a traffic stop in the city, Carolyn Singer, 36, Alliance, was charged with driving under suspension and was cited for a cracked windshield.


Officers responded to a county request for mutual aid involving a possible burglary in progress at an undisclosed location.


June 23


Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Joshua McFarland, 18, Salem, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired and child endangering, and was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Two juvenile passengers ages 15 and 16 were cited for underage alcohol consumption and night time curfew violations.


An investigation is ongoing into a reported menacing call at a Newton Square residence.


Mutual aid was provided to the Mahoning County Sheriff deputies who requested Canfield’s K9 unit to provide a track of a suspect involved in a convenient store break in.
