Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Norman P. Dunkel, who passed away June 25 at Briarfield Manor.

He was born June 9, 1928 in Youngstown, a son of the late Harry and Annabelle (Park) Dunkel.

Norman retired in 1990 after 25 years with Pittsburgh Canfield Steel as a slitter operator. He was a member of the Canfield Presbyterian Church and the Canfield AARP. He used to bowl and loved to fish.

Norman was a great husband of nearly 60 years, and a wonderful and loving father. He will be fondly missed by his wife, the former Faith Timmerman, whom he married July 1, 1950; his son Brian (Gaye) Dunkel of Boardman; his daughter Faith (Bill) Mueller of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Ryan (Chrissy) Dunkel, Keith Dunkel, Matthew Terry, Todd Belinky, and Rachel Belinky; and one great-granddaughter, Andrah T. Dunkel.
