Funeral services were held June 13 at Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Boardman for Ted Sheffler, 55, who passed away Thursday, June 10 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Ted was born in Akron on March 8, 1955, son of Charles and Norma Sheffler. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1973 and was the owner of Homecraft Construction Company. He was the developer of Brookstone Place in Boardman and Signature Place in Austintown. He was also a member of the Zoning Commission in Poland for five years.

Ted collected baseball cards and was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. Active in community affairs, he also coached numerous boys and girls sports teams for several years when his children were growing up.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Debra J. Westmoreland, whom he married Nov. 17, 1984, and who died Sept. 27, 2008.

He is survived by his son, John, and daughters Cadi and DeAnna Sheffler, all at home; his mother, Norma Sheffler of Poland; his sister, Linda (Tom) Dean of Okeechobee, Fla.; and his companion, Kathy Quear.

Interment is at Dean Hill Cemetery in Canfield.
