Alison Joseph, daughter of Bruce and Karen Joseph of Boardman, and William Small, son of Bill and Kathy Small of West Islip, N.Y., exchanged wedding vows on Dec. 31, 2009 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Coral Gables, Fla.
The Rev. Gary George officiated the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami. The couple honeymooned in St. Thomas and will reside in New York City.
The bride’s designer gown had a sweetheart neckline and featured beading and embroidery with a hand-cut floral skirt along with a cathedral-length veil adorned with crystals. She carried a bouquet of bright pink roses.
Kara Joseph of Boardman, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Stephanie Pace of Singapore, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, and Kelly Small of West Islip, N.Y., sister of the groom, served as a bridesmaid.
Michael Brown of New York, friend of the groom, served as best man. Michael McKegney and Salvatore Cataldo, both of New York, friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.
Dr. Joseph received her bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She recently completed her residency in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and will join the staff of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark as an attending podiatrist.
Mr. Small received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a commodities trader for Kramer Energy Group in New York.
