May 26


Canfield’s K9 unit responded to a mutual aid request from Beaver Township who was on a traffic stop.


Following a traffic stop, Sheronda Benson, 28, Youngstown, was cited for illegal window tint and was charged with driving while under suspension.


Officers responded to County Court 5 to take custody of Darrin James, 44, Salem, on a Columbiana warrant for failure to appear.


Following a complaint regarding solicitors in the area, Levi Strawser, 19, LaPorte, In., was taken into custody on an Indiana warrant, and a second male subject, Brant Jacobs, 22, Massillon, was taken into custody on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear. Strawser was transported to the Mahoning County Sheriffs office and Jacobs was released to the custody of Stark County deputies.


May 27


Following an investigation on Scott Street, James Anderson, 48, Bellaire, was taken into custody on a failure to appear warrant out of Bellaire County.


Following a traffic stop, Jason Helmuth, 25, Berlin Center was charged with driving while under suspension.


Following a traffic stop, Corbin Bales, 74, Warren was cited for speeding: 53 in a 35 zone.


Following a traffic stop, Michelle Kramp, 18, Littleton, Co., was charged with possession of a drug instrument and was cited for a headlight violation.


May 28


An investigation is ongoing into the report of missing property at a Fairground Boulevard residence.


Following a traffic stop, Adam Shoulders, 18, North Jackson, was cited for speeding: 44 in a 25 zone.


Following a traffic stop, Brandon Studer, 20, Canfield, was cited for a seatbelt violation.


Following a traffic stop, Steve Luckett, 35, Masury, was cited for not having a motorcycle endorsement.


May 29


Following a traffic stop, Adam Debonis, 21, Brookfield, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for a marked lanes violation.


Following a traffic stop, Cheryl Cobern, 45, Butler, Pa., was cited for speeding: 55 in a 35 zone.


Following the observation of a dog roaming, Jennifer Vargo, 32, Canfield, was cited dog running loose.


Following a traffic stop, Goga Adele, 68, Sun City, Az., was cited for a marked lanes violation.


Following a traffic stop, Daniel Schuler, 23, Canfield, was cited for speeding: 53 in a 35 zone.


Following a traffic stop, Thomas Bortz, 51, Marysville, Pa., was cited for speeding: 55 in a 35 zone.


Following a traffic stop, Dustin McGarry, 25, Boardman, was charged with driving while under suspension.


An investigation is on-going into the theft of property at Giant Eagle, 525 East Main Street.


Following a traffic stop, Alexander Burrell, 20, Struthers, was cited for speeding: 41 in a 25 zone.


Officers responded to a mutual aid request from Boardman Police who were dealing with a large fight in the parking lot at the Southern Park Mall.


May 30


Following a traffic stop, Larry Childers, 45, Youngstown, was cited for improper passing.


Following a traffic stop, Joivonna Strait, 33, North Jackson, was cited for a passenger seat belt violation, and James Tetlow, 39, Canfield, was cited for a driver seat belt violation.


A 16-year-old Canfield juvenile was taken into custody in the Lake Wobegon area on a night time curfew violation.


May 31


Officers responded to a Chapel Hill Court residence in reference to an alarm and at the request for mutual aid from the Mahoning County Sheriffs office.


Following a traffic stop, Nicholas Belcastro, 24, Boardman, was cited for speeding: 55 in a 35 zone.


Following a traffic stop, Jonathan Braddeley, 20, Salem, was cited for a seatbelt violation.


Following a traffic stop, Christopher Raubenstraw, 24, Nelsonville, was cited for an expired registration.
