Last week, girl gymnasts from The Ohio Gymnastics Institute’s competitive team competed in the Northeast Ohio Girls League tournament in Austintown. Several girls walked away from the event with all-around national titles.
Canfield girls placing at the event were as follows:
• In Level 4, age seven and under, Abbie Orr finished with a fifth place all around and a third in uneven parallel bars, and teammate Sydney Russell had a seventh place all around finish with a third place in floor exercise.
•In Level 5, 10-year-olds, Mackenzie Hammond took first in uneven parallel bars, and balance beam, and second in vault table, floor exercise, and placed second in all-around.
