Holy Family Church in Poland was the setting on Jan. 30 for the wedding of John P. Rosson and his bride, Katherine A. Wells.
The Rev. Monsignor William J. Connell officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony that united the daughter of Jim and Valerie Wells of Poland and the son of Denise and John Rosson of Severna Park, Md. Musicians at the wedding were friends of the bride, Jim Johnston and James Johnston.
A reception was held in the couple’s honor at The Georgetown that evening.
The bride wore a one-piece off-white, strapless silk gown with a sash at the waist, and she carried white hydrangeas and calla lilies.
Amanda Wells of New York City, sister of the bride, served as the bride's best woman. Her bridesmaids were Shelby Collins of New Middletown, cousin of the bride; Lainey Rosson of Severna Park, Md., sister of the groom; and Carly Davis and Kelley Davis of Poland, and Shannon Engle and Dawn See of New York City, all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Joanna Dick of Wilmington, N.C., friend of the bride. They wore black evening dresses and carried a single calla lily.
Serving as best man for the groom was his brother, Dennis Rosson of Severna Park, Md. His groomsmen included Louis Rosson of Severna Park, Md., brother of the groom, and William Hill V and Brook Bolger of Annapolis, Md., Devin Patro of Charleston, S.C., Scott Coolahan of Severna Park, Md., and Ryan Parker of Ellicott City, Md., all friends of the groom. The bride's cousin, Jonathan Collins of New Middletown, was the ring bearer.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and an MBA at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y., and is currently with Genworth Financial in Cary, N.C.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in finance at St. John's University and is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force.
