March 10


8:44 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into the report of a check cashed at IGA, 8 N. Broad St., that was written on insufficient funds.


March 12


12:41 p.m. Following an altercation at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 North Palmyra Road, two 17-year-old students were cited for disorderly conduct.


2:16 p.m. During a routine parking lot inspection at MCCTC, a blunt was discovered in a student vehicle and an investigation was conducted and a bullet and knife were seized as evidence. No charges were filed at the time of the incident, but the student was informed charges could be filed regarding the knife.


4:43 p.m. Following a traffic stop on Surrey Lane for a vehicle traveling left of center, Staci Kamil Fizet, 42, 165 Surrey Lane, Canfield, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and obstructing official business, and her vehicle was impounded.


8:53 p.m. Following a traffic stop on East Main Street for a vehicle without its headlights on, Kristin N. Webb, 1084 South Park Drive, Brookfield, was charged with drug abuse and was cited for the headlight violation.


March 14


6:42 p.m. Following a traffic stop on Fairview Avenue for a vehicle traveling with a flat tire Darrin W. James, 44, 2370 Lexington Ave., Salem, was charged with drug abuse and driving under suspension, was cited for a marked lanes violation and his vehicle was impounded.


March 15


1:19 a.m. Following a traffic stop on East Main Street for a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, Panormitis A. Katsourakis, 18, 670 Robinson Road, Campbell, was charged with two counts of drug abuse and was cited for speeding.


6:41 p.m. During Canfield Mayor’s Court it was discovered that Justin R. Tofte, 24, 9314 Flora Drive, Streetsboro, had a warrant from the Streetsboro Police Department for assault. Tofte was taken into custody and was transferred to the Streetsboro Police.


March 16


2:10 a.m. Following a traffic stop on North Broad Street for a vehicle with a loud exhaust, Charles S. Vogley, 44, 15678 Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center, was charged with two counts of drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon, was cited for a defective exhaust, and his vehicle was impounded.
