Feb. 16


12:35 p.m. Following a report of a female selling drugs out of room 8 at the Colonial Motel, officers responded and arrested Jenny E. Dove, 31, 7815 Akron-Canfield Road, Canfield and charged her with soliciting for prostitution and drug trafficking.


Feb. 18


2:32 p.m. Following a report of stolen money from a teaching assistant’s purse at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC), 7300 North Palmyra Road, a 17-year-old student was charged with theft.


Feb. 19


12:51 a.m. Following a traffic stop on East Main Street for a vehicle failing to signal a lane change, Kyler Sparks, 19, 1810 Fourth St., New Brighton, Pa., was charged with drug abuse and was cited for failure to signal.


12:52 p.m. Two students from MCCTC, 7300 North Palmyra Road, were cited for disorderly conduct after the school resource officer learned of a morning altercation on school grounds.


3:50 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the theft of a package from the UPS Store, 415 E. Main St., by a female claiming to have been sent to pick it up.


7:15 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the theft of items from a female subject's purse at Studio Oxygen, 584 E. Main St.


8:16 p.m. Following a traffic stop on East Main Street for a vehicle running a red light at Main and Broad streets, Matthew A. Scott, 24, 2374 Nicholas Ave., Akron, was charged with driving under suspension, drug abuse, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was cited for a red light violation. The vehicle owner, Alisha Snow, 20, 1219 Glenoak Drive, Tallmadge, was cited for wrongful entrustment.


Feb. 20


3:05 a.m. Following a traffic stop on West Main Street for a vehicle traveling left of center and too close to another vehicle, Adrian L. Burt, 35, 1458 Housel St., Canton, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired (refusal of test), falsification, driving under suspension, and was cited for a marked lanes violation. The passenger, Nakeya R. Jones, 30, 2215 Fifteenth Street, Canton, was also charged with falsification.


2:34 a.m. Following a traffic stop on East Main Street for a vehicle traveling left of center, Cory Siwiec, 21, 247 Melborne Ave., Boardman, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, was cited for a marked lanes violation and his vehicle was impounded.


5:18 a.m. Following a traffic stop on South Broad Street for a speeding vehicle, Leon D. Gettings, 50, 260 S. Broad St., Canfield, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, was cited for speeding and his vehicle was impounded.


Feb. 21


1:42 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Lisbon Street for a vehicle with a defective exhaust, Robert K. Baird, 21, 12692 Kent Road, Salem, was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, was cited for the defective exhaust and his vehicle was impounded.
