The Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls was the setting on Jan. 16 for the winter wedding of Elizabeth Ann Haverstock and Michael Smith Jr.
The Rev. Dr. John H. Krier, grandfather of the bride, officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony that united the daughter of Mark and Debbie Haverstock of Youngstown and the son of Michael and Dorothy Smith of Perrysville.
A program of cello and piano music was presented by Ed Madej and Shery Larson of Youngstown. Following the ceremony, the couple accepted congratulations at a reception at the Sheraton Suites.
The bride's attendants were Ashley Martin of Stow and her cousin, Jillian Haverstock of Monroeville, Pa. The flower girl was Charlee Herder, niece of the groom, of Mansfield.
The groomsmen were Ben Williams of Mansfield and Michael Williams of Ontario. The ring bearer was Chase Herder, nephew of the groom, of Mansfield.
A manager for Walgreen’s in the Akron area, the new Mrs. Smith earned an associate’s degree in hospitality management and a bachelor’s in communications from Akron University.
Mr. Smith, a graduate of Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in electro-mechanical engineering technology, is an engineer with First Energy in Akron.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and now reside in Akron.
