The Revs. Bryan Eyman and Vasyl Sivinskyi, and Deacon Donald Billy officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by an evening reception at Maryvale Castle in Brooklandville, Md. They received congratulations from friends and family, including the parents of the bride, Donna and Sean Davis of Baltimore, and Joseph Monmonier of Naples, Fla., and the parents of the groom, Kathryn Hewko and the late Basil J. Hewko of Canfield.
The bride wore a strapless lace gown with a cathedral-length train, embellished with pearls and crystals. Her ensemble was topped with a pearl-encrusted tiara, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids.
Serving as the bride’s maid of honor was Claire Johnson of Baltimore, a friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Teresa Theobald, a West Point classmate of the bride, and Callie Silvestri of Baltimore, a cousin of the bride. They wore lavender gowns with champagne sashes. The flower girls were Ava Monmonier, niece of the bride, and Maeve Davis, a cousin of the bride.
Nick Hewko of Canfield, brother of the groom, served as his best man. The groomsmen were Michael Jenoff of Austintown, cousin of the groom, and Nick Bodak of Youngstown, a friend of the groom.
The new Mrs. Hewko is a 2008 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., with bachelor of science degrees in systems engineering and military arts and sciences. Mr. Hewko, also a 2008 West Point graduate, earned bachelor of science degrees in mechanical engineering and human geography. Both are lieutenants in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Rucker, Ala., where both are training in aviation.
They have made their home together in Enterprise, Ala.
