The Rev. Jeremiah Williamson heard the couple’s vows during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at the church. They accepted congratulations from friends and family, including parents of the bride William and Beverly McConahy of Boardman and parents of the groom Richard and Mary Chisholm of Poland at a 6 p.m. reception in the D.D. and Velma Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown.
The bride wore a silky white taffeta A-line gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, chapel-length train, asymmetrical gathers on the bodice and skirt, and dazzling beadwork at the dropped waist.
Sharing the duties or honor attendant were maids of honor Alexis Kollay of Raleigh, N.C., friend of the bride, and Mara McConahy of Boardman, the bride’s sister. They wore pistachio-colored gowns, as did bridesmaids Jessica Chisholm of Highland Park, N.J., sister of the groom, and Ashley Ross of Buford, Ga., and junior bridesmaid Natalie Disante of Pittsburgh, both cousins of the bride.
Serving as the groom’s best man was his friend, Alex Patsko of Canfield. The groomsmen included Neil Meloro of Jefferson, cousin of the groom, and Luke Skinner of Poland, Greg Simcox of Akron and Jason Mumaw of Struthers, friends of the groom. Julian James of Safety Harbor, Fla., a cousin of the bride, was the usher.
The new Mrs. Chisholm is a substitute teacher for Hilliard, Upper Arlington and Grandview local schools. She graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor of science in education.
Mr. Chisholm is also a graduate of YSU, with a bachelor of science in art and technology, and an associate’s degree in information technology and business management from WyoTech in Blairsville, Pa. He works as an insurance adjustor for Nationwide Insurance in Dublin.
Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, they have made their home in Dublin.
