Moore led the Spartans with 16 points on the night to better rival Halfhill, who posted 15. Monica Touvelle contributed with 10 points to bring the Spartans to a 5-1 season.
The Boardman girls have proven their ability on the road with five away games. Their only loss was in week 2 when they were stomped by Hathaway Brown, 59-25. The girls opened their season on Nov. 30 against Cardinal Mooney where they brought in their first big win of 51-24. After that, the girls hit the road to beat Perry, 46-35; Austintown Fitch, 81-30; and Canton McKinley, 54-49. The Lady Spartans have a 4-1 record on the road while holding a 3-0 league record.
The girls now take a break over New Year's and return to action at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at home against GlenOak. This second home game of the season will be the first of five in a row during January. The Spartan girls won’t hit the road again until Jan. 30.
