3:48 p.m. Following a call to Canfield High School on a report of a male subject with a possible firearm, John A. Baumgartner, 18, 4940 Grover St., Boardman, was charged with obstructing official business and illegal possession of an object undistinguishable (an "air soft" gun), and a 16-year-old from North Lima was charged with obstructing official business.


8:51 p.m. An investigation was conducted into the report of two trucks that damaged a lawn at a Fairground Boulevard residence.


October 16


1:52 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Millbrook Street for a speeding vehicle, Chester A. Meade, 41, 519 Butler Road, Warren, was cited for speeding and pills (Suboxone) found in the truck were confiscated after determining that the pills were not in Meade's possession, but were in the company truck Meade was driving.





Oct. 17


10:06 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard for a speeding vehicle, An-tyne L. Johnson, 19, 413 Whippo Street, New Castle, Pa., was charged with two counts of drug abuse, obstructing official business and carrying a concealed weapon. A second passenger, Darry L. Jones, 22, 6161 Radnor Street, Detroit, Mich., was charged with drug abuse, carrying a concealled weapon and receiving stolen property. The driver, Danelle Marcell Whetzel, 18, 351 Halco Drive, New Castle, Pa., was cited for speeding and the vehicle was impounded.

7:00 a.m. An investigation was conducted after a report of a paper deliverer backing from a driveway and damaging a light pole.





Oct. 19


8:55 a.m. An investigation is on-going into the reported damaging of an industrial air conditioner at ACCESS, 425 W. Main St.


11:00 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into a reported burglary of a Hood Drive residence that involved breaking and entering through a kitchen window.


11:10 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into the report of a vehicle broken into at a Maple Street residence.


9:00 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of electronic equipment from a vehicle parked at a Hood Drive residence.


11:30 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of a Colt M4 Ops carbine and a 30-round magazine from a vehicle parked at a Hood Drive residence.

12:01 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of a cell phone from a vehicle parked at a Fairview Avenue residence.


7:41 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of a stereo from a vehicle parked at an Indian Lake residence.


9:04 a.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of change and possibly other items from a vehicle parked at a Fairview Avenue residence.


12:10 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported break-in of a vehicle at a Hood Drive residence.


1:56 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into a report of identity theft at a Hood Drive residence.


6:09 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into a report of a stolen purse from a vehicle parked at an Indian Lake residence.


6:10 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into the reported theft of a woman's bag containing clothing from a vehicle parked at Amron Lanes, 492 W. Main St.


7:53 p.m. An investigation is ongoing into a report of the theft of various items from a vehicle parked at a Fairview Avenue residence.
