Playforth and Ratliff to exchange vows at St. Michael’s

William and Cyndee Playforth of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Lynn Playforth, to Christopher James Ratliff, both of Canfield. The groom’s parents are James and Celeste Ratliff of Poland.


The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor of arts in communication studies. She is currently employed by Derek Knepper State Farm Insurance as an agent.


The future groom attended Youngstown State University and works in the warehouse at Superior Beverage Group in Austintown.


The couple will be married at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 at St. Michael's Church in Canfield. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at the Assumption Social Center of St. Mary's in Youngstown.
