From Watson to 'America’s Got Talent'

October 22, 2009

The Dazzling Mills Family recently performed their fast-paced show featuring balancing, juggling, acrobatics and comedy at Watson Elementary School. School Principal James Carchedi regularly schedules special events like this to reward students for following the Character Counts program at the school. While such assemblies are entertaining, they also focus on a central theme, which is stressed throughout such performances.

Steve Mills of the Dazzling Mills Family is the show's founder and the Mills family’s father.

“I was an awkward child and tried juggling and unicycling at a young age,” he explained. “I wasn’t very successful, but I kept trying.”

He went on to say that today he makes his living doing that very thing he wasn’t very good at, simply because he never gave up.

He mentioned that he, his daughter, son and son-in-law have an audition scheduled later this year with the producers of the hit show, “America’s Got Talent.” If their act is featured on the television show, 460 Watson students will certainly be calling in their votes.
