August nuptials join Wallace and Miller

October 8, 2009
The Town Crier
St. James Meeting House in Boardman was the setting Aug. 1 for the summer wedding of Benjamin J. Miller and his bride, Megan K. Wallace.

The Rev. Jason Vickery officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony during which the bride and matron of honor sang, and the bride and groom sang to each other.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Georgia Wallace of Austintown, and the groom is the son of Dr. Fran Piatt-Miller of Canton and Dr. William Miller of Canton.

Following an evening reception held in their honor at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard, the couple left for a honeymoon to St. Augustine, Fla.

The bride wore a beaded and embroidered halter gown with pleated chiffon bodice and a satin sheath skirt with a sweep train. Her tiara and veil were finished in silver, and she carried a bouquet of hot pink roses.

The bride's sister, Jordan Moore of Cuyahoga Falls, was the matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Tydin Miller of Lincoln, Neb., and Emily Miller of Dallas, both sisters of the groom. They wore Pool gowns and carried hot pink and white roses.

Serving as the best man for the groom was his brother, Michael Miller of Canton. His groomsmen included Kalen Wallace of Austintown, brother of the bride, and Jim Savage of Fairlawn, cousin of the groom.

A junior high school music teacher with Salem City Schools, the bride earned her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and is pursuing a master's in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix.

Her husband graduated from Kent State University and is a high school art teacher for Marlington Local Schools in Alliance.

They have made their home in Canfield.
