The Rev. Gary Koerth officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony that united the daughter of Richard and Tammy Von Schwarz of Austintown and the son of Gene and Carol Nowakowski of Broadview Heights.
An evening reception was held in their honor at The Holiday Inn in Boardman, after which they left for a honeymoon trip to Jamaica. They have made their home in Fort Myers, Fla.
The bride wore a one-piece, diamond-white strapless ball gown with a corseted back and an elegantly beaded bodice. Her tiara and veil incorporated matching beading, and she carried a bouquet of red and white tiger lilies.
Lindsay Von Schwarz of Austintown was the bride's best woman, and her bridesmaids were Julie Apthorpe of Columbus, Nicole Lehman of Wooster, Jaclyn Jensen of Washington D.C., and Laura Nowakowski of Cleveland, friends and family of the bride and groom. The flower girl was Alaina Constance of Austintown, friend of the bride. They wore scarlet and gray gowns and carried red and white tiger lilies.
Serving as best man for the groom was his best friend, Mike Apthorpe of Columbus. The groomsmen included Matt Carroll of Fairfax, Va., James Moorhead of Ashburn, Va., Eric Jensen of Washington, D.C., and Michael Fontana of Cleveland, friends and family of the bride and groom. Leland Pringle of Virginia Beach, Va., cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A clinical research coordinator at Gulfcoast Clinical Research Center in Fort Myers, Fla., the bride earned her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.
Her husband also graduated from Ohio State and is an assistant superintendent at Shadow Wood Preserve Country Club in Fort Myers.
