September 17


1:05 a.m. Following a traffic stop on North Broad Street for a vehicle traveling left of center, Franklin D. Jordan Jr., 45, 3554 Starwick Drive, Canfield, was charged with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon, was cited for a marked lanes violation and his vehicle was impounded.


September 18


8:31 p.m. Following a traffic stop on West Main Street for a vehicle with only one working brake light, Melinda Sue Skaggs, 31, 1170 Roberts Ave., Warren, was charged with possession of drugs. The driver, Robert J. Travis Jr., 34, 1254 Pearl Street, Warren was cited for a child safety seat violation.


September 19


12:55 a.m. Following a traffic stop on South Broad Street for a vehicle traveling over the center line, David Farragher, 55, 4900 Middleton Road, Canfield, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, was cited for a marked lanes violation and his vehicle was impounded.


11:09 a.m. An investigation was opened after the report of a check written to Nanny’s Nest, 584 East Main Street, for the purchase of a diaper bag and four pair of socks that was written on a possible fictitious account.


September 20


3:00 a.m. Ashley N. Campbell, 23, 282 Reed Ave., Campbell, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after she took her sister’s vehicle from a Hood Drive residence without permission, lost control and crashed it on I-680 in Youngstown before fleeing the scene of the accident. Youngstown police had impounded the vehicle and were looking at filing charges for leaving the scene of an accident.
