The Rev. Donn Chapman officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony that joined the daughter of Jim and Mary Risbon of Pittsburgh and the son of Allen and Nancy Morrow of Poland in matrimony. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the couple’s honor at the country club.
The couple’s wedding day coincided with the 89th birthday of the bride’s maternal grandmother, Mary Nisley, who traveled from her home in Palmayra, Pa., for the nuptial celebration.
The bride wore a sleeveless white A-line gown of Imperial satin with the midriff shirred to one side, finished with beaded embroidery encircling the skirt and chapel-length train and matching stole. She carried a bouquet of multi-colored gerbera daisies.
Katie Risbon of Pittsburgh, sister of the bride, served as her maid of honor. Her bridesmaids included her sister Christina Risbon of Pittsburgh, and Karen Bennett of Princeton, N.J., Julie Miller of Boston, and Allison Benedetti, Ashley Meli and Bethany Rupert of Pittsburgh, all friends of the bride. They wore watermelon-colored tea-length dresses and carried bouquets of gerbera daisies.
The groom’s brother, Matthew Morrow of Arlington, Va., served as his best man. The groomsmen included Kurt Young of Orlando, Fla., Simeon Garvin of Syracuse, N.Y., Cody Crumrine of Ligoner, Pa., Nate Irwin of Mansfield and Brad Volek of Kittaning, Pa., all friends of the groom.
The new Mrs. Morrow earned a degree in molecular biology from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in physical therapy from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
Mr. Morrow also graduated from Grove City College, with a degree in finance. He is an associate surety underwriter with Liberty Mutual Surety in Troy, Mich.
