St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park was the setting for Nickolaus Joseph Lockard and his bride, the former Nina Irene Kinney, who were married Nov. 15, 2008.

The Rev. Wayne Doberstyn officiated for the daughter of Bruce and Karen Kinney of Boardman, and the son of Christine Lockard of Boardman and Miles Lockard of Youngstown. Following the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, an evening reception was held in their honor at Harry and Jean’s Restaurant in Canfield.

The bride wore a halter-style trumpet gown with a chapel-length train, all embellished with lace.

Wearing a black gown was Sarah Jayne Kinney of New York, sister of the bride, who served as her honor attendant.

Paul Lockard of Boardman, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man. The ushers were Daniel Carhart of Atlanta and Matthew Carhart of Cleveland, friends of the bride.

The new Mrs. Lockard graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Social work and from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is a neonatal intensive care nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md.

A retired staff sergeant with the U.S. Air Force Reserves 910th Air Wing in Youngstown, Mr. Lockard earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University. He is employed as an avionics engineer with Northrop Grumman in Baltimore.

They have made their home in Columbia, Md.
