Stuber becomes bride of Benninger in July

The celebration uniting Amanda Stuber and James Benninger of Gilbert, Ariz., took place July 18 at 3 p.m. The Rev. Naos McCool officiated at the ceremony held at Duquesne University Chapel in Pittsburgh. A reception was held in their honor onboard the Empress, a party boat of the Gateway Clipper line.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Ann (Marchionda) Stuber of Poland, and the groom is the son of Linda Powley of Clarks Mills, Pa.

The couple both graduated from Duquesne University with pharmacy doctorates and are pharmacists at Walgreen’s in Gilbert, Ariz. Mr. Benninger also spent six years with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines in Moundsville, W.Va., and served a tour in Iraq in 2005. 

Jennifer Stuber, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and the sister-in-law of the groom, Neela Bhajandas, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Katie Chambers, Cecilia Chicone, Crystal Chicone, Natalie Crescenze, Shannon Gilbert and Gretchen Tong. 

Two of the groom’s brothers, Jesse Steffan and Nathan Benninger, shared the duties of best man, and the groomsmen were Matthew Botti, Drew Kinner, Travis Marsteller, Christopher Murphy, Jeff Thomas and Anthony Wiseman. 

Following the reception on the Empress, James and Amanda enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon in St. Lucia.
