Josephs celebrate 50 years of marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Joseph of Austintown observed their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends during a dinner at their son's home on Aug. 15. The event marked the anniversary of their Aug. 8, 1959 wedding at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Austintown. Invitations for the event were handled by their children, Tammy (Joseph) Tayman and Marty Joseph, both of Austintown. There are also four grandchildren in the family.


Mrs. Joseph, the former Beatrice Jordan, is a homemaker and adult caregiver. Mr. Joseph retired in 2001 from General Motors in Lordstown. He also had a floor covering business and a home construction business.


Mr. and Mrs. Joseph are still active members of Bethel Assembly of God, where Bea is a choir member and children's ministries helper, and Martin is the sound technician and church custodian.
