The Rev. Dr. Thomas Madden officiated at the May 30 ceremony that united Kalah Marie Miner and John Anthony Ragan in marriage. The 1:30 p.m. wedding at Disciples Christian Church in Boardman was followed by an evening reception held in their honor at St. Mary Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.

Parents of the bride are Larry and Pamela Miner of Youngstown, and the groom is the son of John and Annette Ragan, also of Youngstown.

The bride wore a white satin A-line halter gown accented with crystal beading, and featuring a lace-up back. The bridesmaids wore gowns of sage green and white matte satin.

Dana Krantz of Dublin, friend of the bride, served as her maid of honor. The bridesmaids included Alycia Sutherin of Poland, Melissa Bukovinsky of Boardman, and Shannon Forrester of Winchester, Va., all friends of the bride; Marianne Donley of Youngstown and JoAnn Ragan of Youngstown, sisters of the groom; Lindsay Svetlak of Lowellville, cousin of the bride; and junior bridesmaid Brianna Brammer of Boardman, also a cousin of the bride.

Performing the duties of best man was James Ferrante of Henderson, Nev., friend of the groom. The groomsmen included Michael Fluent of Girard and Darren Wagner of North Jackson, friends of the groom; William Miner of Boardman and Larry Miner II of Youngstown, brothers of the bride; Michael Roby of Youngstown, cousin of the groom; and Shawn Donley of Youngstown, brother-in-law of the groom. Dylan Roby of Youngstown, godson of the groom, was the ring bearer.

The new Mrs. Ragan graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She is employed as an exercise physiologist at Ohio Sports and Spine Institute in Boardman and in cardiac rehabilitation with Humility of Mary Health Partners in Youngstown. She is also a sales associate at Kohl’s in Boardman.

Mr. Ragan works as a sales representative for the Carter-Jones Lumber Co. in North Jackson, a security guard at the Covelli Centre, and is a high school football official.

Following a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, the couple has settled in Austintown.
