Work and Walko to wed at Sacred Heart Church

Announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding are Julie Work of Poland and Nicholas Walko of Canfield. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bruce Work of New Springfield and Patricia Work of Poland. The future groom is the son of Thomas Walko of Findlay and Barbara Walko of Canfield.


The couple will exchange vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony Aug. 15 at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown. A private reception will be held in their honor at 6 p.m. at the Avalon Inn in Howland.


Miss Work graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Kent State University and magna cum laude with a juris doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh.


Mr. Walko works as a union carpenter out of Local 171 with Patent Construction.
