The Town Crier
Lauren Balestrino and John Waugh exchanged nuptial vows at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008 at the New Covenant Worship Center in Youngstown. Pamela Shipsky officiated at the medieval-themed wedding for the daughter of Larry and Suzanne Balestrino of Poland and the son of Ron and Lorna Waugh of Winona.

The couple accepted congratulations at an evening reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield. Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, they have made their home in Struthers.

The bride wore a strapless satin princess silhouette gown with a wrap bodice and a beaded split skirt, topped off with a cathedral-length veil. The bouquet was a hand-made silk arrangement made by the bride's aunt.

Serving as maid of honor was the bride's cousin Logan Balestrino of Portland, Ore. The bridesmaids included Kaileen Balestrino and Spencer Balestrino of Poland, sisters of the bride; Tracy Prelog of Poland and Cate Rudawsky of Alexandria, Va., friends of the bride; and Jen Neopolitan of Salem, sister of the groom. They wore matching dresses of burgundy and gold. Tara Balestrino and Victoria Balestrino of Poland, sisters of the bride, were the flower girls.

Matt Rudawsky of Alexandria, Va., a mutual friend of the bride and groom, was the best man. The groomsmen included Neal Balestrino of Miamisburg, brother of the bride; Jim Ling of Salem, Bryan Bartels of Salem and Justin Quinn of Lisbon, friends of the groom; and Bill Neapolitan of Salem, brother-in-law of the groom. The ushers were Michael Balestrino and Reggie Balestrino of Poland, brothers of the bride.

The new Mrs. Waugh graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor of arts in English and writing. She works as a restaurant manager in Poland.

Mr. Waugh is also a graduate of Kent State, with a bachelor's degree in general science. He is employed as a messenger with Brinks Security in Boardman.
