"Inherit the Wind"
The Youngstown Playhouse will present the historical drama “Inherit the Wind” weekends, March 12 through 21, with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. For more information and reservations, call 330-788-8739.
"Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure" weekends
The Victorian Players will present “Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure” weekends March 5 through 21 at the Victorian Players Theatre in Youngstown. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. They are also holding auditions for an upcoming production of “The Heiress” at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 8 and 9. Each host church will provide the format for the service, the music, and refreshments after the service. For the March 28th service at Austintown Community Church, the music will be provided by the Ecumenical Community Choir under the direction of Harold and Cheri Blackann. The Greater Austintown Ministerial Association is a fellowship of local Christian pastors and leaders from a variety of denominations and affiliations who want to exemplify unity and coordinate charitable services to meet the needs of the Austintown community.

Pancake Breakfast

Volunteers from Hospice of the Valley are sponsoring a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., Canfield. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4 to 12, and free to children 3 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Take out orders are available. Proceeds benefit HOV volunteer projects.
Hospice volunteers serve in a variety of ways including companions for hospice patients at home or in nursing homes as well as helping at the Hospice House inpatient facility. New volunteers are needed. For more information on the work of the HOV volunteers, call 330-788-1992.
Pancake breakfast
A pancake breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14 at St. Michael's Church in Canfield to benefit the Canfield Hockey teams. For tickets or more information, call the Canfield Hockey Boosters at 330-702-0123.
